Cape Town group The Kiffness teams up with Capetonian self-taught photographer Brendon Wainwright: the result will give your goosebumps goosebumps.
The Kiffness is a live electronic act from Cape Town. The project was founded by David Scott in 2011. The Kiffness makes jazzy, groovy & uplifting house music and is fast becoming one of South Africa’s favourite live electronic acts. What sets this group apart from most electronic acts is their phenomenal instrumental talent. Coupled with this is that they are great performers, so crowds can expect nothing short of a huge vibe. Their new album, Soul Safari was recently released on all the ‘kiff’ platforms.
But it does not stop there: The Kiffness teamed up with Cape Town-based Brendan Wainwright – a self-taught photographer and time-lapser living near Table Mountain National Park. He is always game for an adventure and his favourite genres include landscape and anything that moves – or moves him. And everyone else it would seem.

David Scott says of this collaborative effort: “I teamed up with time-lapse photographer I AM Brendon Wainwright to create this video for “Soul Safari”, the title track from my new album.
The time-lapses were shot across various locations in & around Cape Town over the last 2 years. After watching this, it’s clear that Cape Town is the most beautiful and magical city in the world.
I’m humbled to call this place home.”
When it seems that all is not well with the world, and the water crisis in our beautiful Mother city is oppressively gloomy, sit back with your earphones on, shut out the noise for a while and watch the video.
