01 · Start outside
Arrive on foot and keep the first part easy.
The Two Oceans Aquarium sits on Dock Road in the V&A Waterfront. Visitors already in the precinct can follow the Waterfront’s own signage. Treat the walk as the start of the day, then decide whether you want one paid stop.
The Aquarium is at MyCiti bus stop 104. Metered cabs and ride-hailing services also serve the Waterfront. Check current access before you set off.
Aquarium directions and parking02 · Choose one main stop
Make room for the Two Oceans Aquarium.
If you want an indoor anchor, the Aquarium is open every day. Weekday hours are 09:30 to 18:00, and weekends, public holidays and school holidays are 09:00 to 18:00. The last ticket is sold 30 minutes before closing. Book or buy tickets directly with the Aquarium.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. The visitor page lists wheelchair-friendly flooring, accessible parking bays, first aid and nappy-changing facilities. Confirm those details for your group before you go.
Aquarium visitor information03 · Leave room for a pause
Coffee or a meal, then decide what is next.
The Aquarium lists a Bootlegger restaurant, a snack stop inside the I&J Ocean Exhibit, and a Bootlegger coffee kiosk just outside its main doors. You can also eat elsewhere in the Waterfront. A day ticket lets you leave for a meal and return the same day.
The Aquarium asks visitors not to consume outside food or drink inside the building. Restaurant hours are listed on its food-and-drink page and can differ from Aquarium opening times.
